SHIPPING RATES & PURCHASING POLICES

The following shipping charges will be applied to your order total based on shipping method selected during checkout and the ship-to address:

UPS Ground;
West of the Rockies- $12.00 flat rate + 15% of total cost of order.
East of the Rockies- $15.00 flat rate + 20% of total cost of order.

UPS Three- Day Select;
West of the Rockies-$15.00 flat rate + 40% of total cost of order.
East of Rockies- $25.00 flat rate + 40% of total cost of order.

Your card will not be billed until your order is ready to be shipped at which time you will receive a confirmation. You will be notified when your nursery stock ships and given a UPS tracking number that can be used to track your order so you know exactly when it will arrive.

TAX: Tax is calculated at a rate of 7.25% for all items  shipped to California addresses EXCEPT food bearing items. Any applicable tax will be added to order total at time of shipment.

NOTE: Citrus cannot be shipped to the states of Florida, Texas and Arizona due to state restrictions.
We cannot ship to Hawaii, Alaska, or internationally. Sorry!

We ship our plants on Mondays UPS Ground or 3 day select throughout the contiguous lower 48 states. We are able to ship our potted nursery stock all year, except the months of July and August when temperatures are too high for safe shipment.

Normally you should receive your plants within 3 to 5 business days for locations west of the Rockies and 6-7 business days for east of the Rockies locations. For areas East of the Rockies that will not receive their packages before the weekend, we suggest UPS Three Day Select during both the often hot months of May, June and September, and potentially freezing weather in the winter.

During cold winter months, in order to ensure that your plants arrive in good condition, we monitor the temperature and weather conditions in your area and try to send trees at the earliest safe date for planting. We ship only to those areas that are free from hard freezes during the cold winter months and can reserve your order for later shipping when spring begins to arrive in your area. When placing an order please let us know when you would like your order to be shipped. Orders may also be picked up at the farm by appointment or from April thru October at the Arcata, Ca. Farmer"s Market.

GUARANTEE & RETURN POLICY
Sending you, our customers healthy, strong and true to name plants ready to take off in your garden is our highest priority. We grow our plants with sustainable organic practices leaving plants free from toxic substances. At the same time we maintain a strict natural pest and disease program to ensure our plants are not going to introduce some new pathogens to your garden. We guarantee that our plants arrive alive and in good condition ready to grow. Though we pack our orders carefully in secure boxes there may be some leaf bruising or other cosmetic disturbance that plants will easily grow out of. If plants should arrive dead or seriously damaged please notify us within one week after you receive your order. We will replace any defective plants free with the customer paying for the shipping. Our liability is limited to the purchase price of the plant. Due to the many "out of our control" variables that can happen when growing plants we cannot guarantee their continued survival after arrival. We sincerely do want your planting to be a success and encourage you to call on us if you have questions or problems.
