Tough, hardy and drought tolerant this nitrogen fixing shrub will thrive on poor soils. Quickly growing 6-10 feet tall and wide they are covered with fragrant flowers in spring and tasty bright red berries in late summer. The fruits are very high in anti-oxidants known to protect against cancer and premature aging. The foliage resembles the true Olive, though they are botanically unrelated. The attractive bushes are excellent in hedgerows or as a specimen. Fruits are also enjoyed by songbirds and our poultry find them irresistible. Thrives in full sun or shade. Zones3-9
