Fuki (Petasites japonicus)
A dramatic and spectacular perrennial with huge round leaves that can get up to 21/2 feet across. The long leaf stalks are used as a vegetable in Japan where they are highly esteemed. Also used in herbal medicine preparations. Makes a beautiful ornamental groundcover that is well suited to moist soils. A great edible ornamental plant that is easy to care for, mulching itself and choking out weeds. Also known as Bog Rhubarb.
