Native pine to the southwest produces heavy crops of delicious nuts that are a traditional food of the region and the source of most pine nuts found in stores today. Beautiful dark green densely foliaged tree is slow growing, eventually reaching a rounded 10 to 20 feet tall. Excellent small drought tolerant tree for rock gardens and can be grown in containers. Zones 6-9.
