Hawthorne (Crataegus Species)

A small ornamental tree that produce edible bright red fruits which make excellent jams and jellies. Fruits (haws) are also loved by birds and used medicinally as a heart tonic. Beautiful flowers in spring and excellent fall color. Great planted as specimens or in a hedge. Self-fertile.
