Ken's Red (Conventional)

A delicious and early ripening New Zealand variety from the breeding program of Ken Nobbs. Produces large very sweet intensely flavored fruits with red skin and flesh. Heavy bearing and one of our favorites! 



Ken’s Red bears good crops of very large, sweet, and tasty fruit with reddish purple skin and flesh.

Hardy Kiwi likes 1/2 day to full sun and well-drained soil.

Pollination Requirements: Plant Ken’s Red with a male hardy kiwi for cross-pollination.

Bearing Age: 3-4 years after planting

Size at Maturity: 10-12 ft. in width on trellis, arbor or other support.

Bloom Time: May Ripening Time: September-October.

Pest: Typically not bothered by significant pest or disease problems.


USDA  hard down to Zone 4.
